I just purchased the 8100 and am very dissapointed that a phone this sophisticated can't display a clock size any larger than the "normal" setting, which is very small. Has anyone figured out how to make the clock size any bigger on the front panel?? thank you.
To make it easier to read, I took a photo of a white sheet of paper and used this as the front panel background. But I would still like to see the font size bigger.

Do you mean that the "normal" setting is too small or the "minimize" settint is? Because if it is on minimize then you can got to "tools and settings" then press 6 then 2 and then choose normal. You also have the option to set the front screen clock to analog. I dont know if that will help.

Mlev,
I agree. Just another small issue I have with the 8100. But not enough to make me not like this phone. I'm getting old and my eyes are getting worse. Even with my glasses on the clock is hard to see at the normal setting. Larger digits on that clock would really be helpful.
A few things though, when all else fails I just squint. Or, I check time with my bluetooth and voice promts (that's neat). Lastly, I use a light wallpaper for my outter LCD. The contrast seems to make the time stand out more, makes it a little eaiser to see.

Thaks MickyLover, my eyes have to squint too. I've heard that once you hit 40, they shape of they eyeball changes and you can't see up close. Certainly true for me. The Motorolla E815 phone has nice big clock printout. I'm thinking of changing to that but not sure yet. Since I don't where a watch, I use my cell for a clock.

I hear ya.
Well, I didn't check the clock on it, but that new Samsung A950 is one nice looking phone. You might want to give it a look over too.
