2.5mm jack adapter

Can anyone tell me where they purchased their 2.5mm > 3.5mm jack adapter? I have gone to Walmart, Circuit City, Best Buy, Target, and Radio Shack. The only one that had it was Radio Shack and I was told it would probably only come out one side of the speakers due to the placement of the rings on the jack. I purchased a FM Modulator (trasmitter) and am dying to use it but can't until I get the adapter. Any help is greatly appreciated!

i hate to sound like i am repeating everyone but I have tried all the one at radio shack and there is one there that plays through both speakers, it has to be a STEREO adapter, also it kept falling out of the phone (dont get it here). If you need a head set get the walmart one it is stereo and comes with the jack. I got mine at a super walmart in the cell phone section, look hard for plantronics m40 it was hard to find mine. its 14.99 or 15.00. it's the best and cheapest that I've found.

Sure, if you want a mono signal through 2 ears (fake stereo) then fine, go ahead and get that plantronics m40, but trust me it's NOT stereo.
I even tried the Cingular/rokr adapter and it was horrible sounding (the sound was very muffled and no bass)

Not familiar with that adapter, however I can also concur with the prev post that the Cingular Rokr adapter does not work at all. Got that at a Cing store, sound was almost unreconizable. I also got the Plantronics set at Walmart, and while the adapter does work, it does only put out mono audio, albeit through 2 speakers, so you might be fooled at first. Serviceable, but not something you'd listen to every day (plus the headphones that come with it are unbelievably bad). I have various ipod speaker setups throughout my house (and in my car, FM modulator), and i can tell you that w/the Plantronics adapter, if the stereo system is weak, the phone does not put out enough sound to make it worth listening to. Maybe a decent adapter will help. Th...
