Ok i work for a verizon sub-contactor. I have sprint service, lol, and there customer service is the worst i ever dealt with, however the plan i have i cannot beat and i wanna stay with it. Ive been told i can unlock an 8100 and then put it on my sprint plan. What do i need to do to do this? Ive been to cellphonehacks.com but couldnt really find nice people to walk me through the whole process. All help is very very much appreciated.

call sprint and do an esn change(if that let you put that esn in their system) then i guess you could go into your manual programming and set your phone on pcs only and it may possibly work, but i am guessing sprint will not let you put the esn on your account. 👿

from what i understand u have to unlock your phone a certain way 1st which will then allow u to put it on the network of your choice. But there is some kind of process or way to do it that i have no clue about, thanks for the reply, anyone else?

There is no "unlock" for CDMA phones. They can be reprogrammed for other networks but it is a hard process and requires someone with some real technological know how in order to complete the level just for the voice capability to work. GSM phones can be unlocked but horribly enough neither of the networks you speak of work on that technology. Sorry.

Verizon phones are already set to read sprint towers as a secondary choice. You can set your phone to only read pcs that would put you on a sprint tower. Your phone would read extended network but would work just fine other than that. I have seen this done and it works, however since the whole 911 gps thing stuff has started getting more tricky. With verizon you can only use a phone that has been loaded into their database and passed as 911 compliant. So if your phone is 911 compliant, but not necassarily a verzon model then it would have not been loaded in the system and will not allow that esn. my guess is sprint would be similar.
