network select
if i go to the network select a choose mode prefernce and select 1x only or digital only non hybrid, how well will the phone work???? i dont really need the evdo service, i just want to make sure the phone will still work as a phone, and still be able to send pix and txt w/o problems. thanks

I'm sure it does, because some people, myself included, don't even have EVDO in their area, therefore are always on 1x only.

i've put my phone on the 1x network only, and it works fine. I didn't notice any speed difference without the EVDO in regard to pic/txt messaging. Plus, I've heard that setting the phone's network to 1x saves battery life.
