Possible price drop after new releases?

Sorry if some of you have already read this...I know I posted it in the main Verizon forum too, but I wasn't sure which one got more action.

I'm thinking of buying a LG VX8100 full retail, but I had a quick question that maybe some of you had some info. on or experience with.

I have been reading the forum posts, and it seems that the RAZR and a new Nokia will be coming out within the next month or so, both of which I think will be too expensive for me to consider buying full retail even though they both seem cool.

I really like the 8100 however, and I know it's at about $300 right now. My question is, with the release of those new "high end" phones that will compete with the 8100, do you think there might be a slight price drop in ...

I dont think a substantial price drop will occur until 2-4 months from now. Thats my 2 cents though, i might be totally wrong?

I don't see it going down any more at all. When it was released in July, full retail was around $420-$440 and now it is $319.99. I'd say it has dropped as much as it ever will.

Cool, thanks for the info. I guess that's sort of a good answer too, because now I have a reason not to wait and just go out and buy it this weekend! 🙂
