Please Test Standalone Mode for MP3s
Hello, I stated in a previous post that my MP3s will sometimes (okay, most of the time) sound like static when I am in an area of no service. I thought I had an answer as to why this was happening, but then got a response from someone who didn't experience the problem at all. The person who responded tested their phone and the MP3s worked fine in areas of no service, which "Standalone Mode" mimics. Could some others possibly try that with their phone as well? (I didn't use any special programs for my MP3s - i just have the SanDisk card and SanDisk Mobile Mate card reader).

Mine works totally fine...I was at a hospital today when my mp3s started to skip I looked and the signal was between 0-1 bars. I put the phone in "standalone" and the mp3s wre fine. I believe I had answered that a while back like 3 wks or so. You must have missed it. Good Luck

Yes, I recall that. I guess I was trying to do a “poll” and see if I am the ONLY one having the problem, or if maybe some other people are having the problem, too.

Thanks! At least now I know I'm not the ONLY one (even if it means that it's only the two of us with the problem).
dimmy, Now I wonder what the next step is. Mine would *sometimes* work (okay rarely, but still sometimes) in no service areas, yours is having the same problem, and some others' work just fine.
This sounds like the fluctuation volume problem re-visited all over - some people didn't experience any fluctuation and others (like me) did and still do.
The LG people keep telling me that the MP3 player was designed to work with Verizon's Music On Demand and since it isn't out yet that I was lucky the MP3s played at all right now. 😕 Does that even make sense, as far as WHY they even enabled the MP3 player if it wasn't su...
