LG VX8100 Need information on how to use the MP3 Player feature
I just purchased a vx8100 phone and have been reading about it having a MP3 player built in.
I can find no reference to this in the Manual. Where are the instructions on how to use this feature?
Is there a web site link that I can get this information from?
It also has a mini SD Memory Card Slot in the side of the phone. I can find no information on where to purchase a mememory card, or how to use this feature.

I think since this phone did not have the MP3 player enabled when it was first released, the manual did not include it.
Anyway....since you just purchased it, it should have the V04 update already on it, but first check to make sure it does. To do so: MENU-SETTINGS & TOOLS-4.SYSTEM-3.DEVICE INFO-2.SW Version. It should have T81VZV04. If not, take it in and have the software updated.
If it does though, THEN your next step would be to purchase a memory card because you cannot put MP3's on the phone's memory, only on the card. You can buy them on ebay, at Best Buy, Circuit City, etc. Make sure it says MiniSD. It should also come with an adapter that allows you to put it into a card reader which plugs into your USB port on your PC. ...

I thought the mini SD card was hot swappable. I have always inserted and removed mine with the phone on and not had any problems.
