Bluetooth Headset

Still looking for compatible one. Moto 850, great for awhile, nothing but static on other end. Scala 500, won't stay connected. So, with May's advice, testing the H500. Saw the Jabra BT500. Very thin and shabby looking. Black with gray plastic top. Had problem with BT250, so don't even know if any better. The LG, not shipping yet. H700, seems to be only on eBAY. Will let you know about H500.

🤣 🤣 🤣

So much for H500. Bad static on both ends. Worst of any headset I ever tried. Guess I'll try BT350.

That's too bad. I have had absolutely no static with mine. So far, so good all around.

Hi Mary,

Just wondering, did you get your H500 through Verizon? I'm thinking of ordering one through Ebay and there seem to be different colors--charcoal and silver and also U.S. version vs. non-U.S. versions there. I'd just go with Verizon's website but they only seem to have black which I'm not crazy about.

Thanks.

VZW does not have the H500. I got mine at Best Buy. $79.99 with 30 day return.

Mortfe, the Verizon website does have the H500 in black and pink for $69.99.

I am considering just ordering through them since the shipping is free with orders over $50. I was trying to find deals through Ebay but I'd only be saving $20 or so and taking the risk of getting a non-U.S. version or something w/o warranty.

By the way, is yours silver?

I had the silver one that I got off ebay, but when I saw the black one from Verizon, I bought that one because I liked the black better. I gave the silver one to my sister. The pink looks pretty cool too.

I like that pink one too! But then I was thinking maybe the cuteness factor will wear out for me after a while. I do have a pink case for my phone so that would look cute. But basic black always goes with everything. I just ordered it through Verizon, so after I try it out I'll post my thoughts. BTW I put my Cardo Scala up on Ebay a while back because it kept disconnecting. I did think it the most comfortable headset I had tried though. If it wasn't for the disconnect problem I would have kept it. Strange that it only happened recently.

Mine was silver, but had so much static on both ends, I dumped it already. Hate the looks, but trying the new Jabra BT500. So far, after 1st day, excellent. But that what happened with the BT250. After 3 days, voice dial could get nothing right. Hope to hell this works better. Running out of headsets. The LG not available yet and H700, who knows.

I like my H500 and it works great for me, but I was thinking about tryng the BT500 as I had the BT250 and liked the fit and the way it worked. Keep me/us posted on how it does for you. Has anyone complained of echo?

No static, no echo - so far. My problem with the BT250/v was voice dialing. But even that was crystal clear.

So I got the H500 today and have finished charging it. Only used for a few minutes so far so I don't have much of an opinion yet. But the fit is definitely MUCH better than the HS850. The 850 was heavier and bulkier, plus it had that suction-cup-like earpiece that sat against the ear and I always felt like it was flopping around and about to fall off. the 500 is smaller and lighter and I think the ear "hook" is shaped a little differently. And although the earpiece doesn't fit into your ear like the Scala, it does stick out just a bit so that it feels more natural on your ear than the 850 did.

So far on the few calls that I've made I have gotten some static. Maybe it's not as charged as I thought. I've tried playing around on the v...

Has anyone ordered this online from VZW? 15 days? Can returns be made to store?

So I posted a quick little review a few lines above of the H500 that I got yesterday through VZW online. Comfort so far is excellent and I used it a bit more today and the sounds seems good too. Will have to test out a bit more before I can decide on whether or not to keep it.

Also still trying to figure out all the different things you can do with that main button - I kept redialing my last call when I was trying to turn it off - kind of confusing. It says to "hold button until blue light flashes" for turning off as opposed to "hold button until you hear tone" for redial. I thikn that's kind of confusing. What if I want to turn the headset off without looking at it? Anybody else confused about that button? Anyways, I'll have to f...
