You, know, I just can't get over how much I sitll love this phone! I still can't get over all I can do with it, MP3's, a different ringtone for everyone in my contact list-FREE w/ Bitpim, best outside screen I have ever seen, etc. etc. etc. I have checked out almost all of the high-end phoned that Verizon has right now, and this is still by far, by favorite and even after almost 4 months, I still LOVE it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You're right. I switched to the Samsung a950. Two brand new phones. Sucks! Battery life, less than 24 hours and the Voice Dialing, horrible. Samsung and Motorola both use third party software for voice dialing and was wrong almost all the time. 1st phone kept 'sending calls to text'' and the 2nd phone kept telling me 'no match'. Went back to 8100 after 5 days of this crap and so far no problems with voice, BT and volume. 🤣 🤣

I too tried out the 950 briefly awhile back and didn't like it either. Many reasons, but some being what you mentioned-voice dialing. I liked the fact that you could say "call John Doe cell" and it would call instead of saying "call someone" then have it asked for a name, etc. etc., but it sucked besides that. I had the hardest time even getting it to pair in the first place! It kept saying "searching" and couldn't seem to find it. I also did not like the fact that you could not read text messages on the outside screen, that it went completely dark and you had to hold the button down for several seconds compared to a tap, the outside screen sucked, and so on and so on. The 8100 rules!!!!!!!!!!!!!
