maybe i'm just inredibly uninformed. but what is the secret menu? and how do i get there?

The secret menu allows you to change it from Vcast to 1x only as well as alot of other stuff you should only touch if you know what you are doing.
The only setting I'm comfortable with changing on the phone is Network Select (3) and then the Mode Preference (1) and then changing it to 1X.

Can you disable Vcast here? I'm giving a phone to a kid and I don't want to see a $200 phone bill show up.
