The best phone nobody ever had

dimmy

It seems to me this phone is constantly underrated in reviews and such. Its like nobody (expect us geeks) can figure this phone out. It has so many capabilities that i just cant see myself changing or finding a better phone anytime soon. I wonder why the average Joe hasn't caught on to this phone? Its like everyones on the razr's nuts even though it really cant do much compared to this phone. When i show people that stuff this thing can do i always get the "Dam i didn't know a phone could do that" reaction. I just dont understand why more people don't have this bad boy, especially with it being pretty reasonably priced. Aside from the obvious earpiece issue (which i don't think many people knew about anyway) i just can't figure it out,...

Our store sells about as many of these as we do any other camera phone. I do agree that it is a great phone. I also wouldn't trade it for anything else.

Its about the looks.. most people are so materialistic that they care what people think when they see them talking on a 8100 compared to the look of the razr. I have a 8100 and love it except for a few things (cant stand the antenna, the delay on the camera & the lack of volume in earpiece.) I have a 1gig miniSD in it full of music. v6 should fix at least the camera issue and then im gtg with it.

Though i have been looking at the razr v3c but i doubt ill get one. 9800 is same price after 2yr and rebate as the razr also.

The best phone nobody ever had? There are four people I know of that have this phone.
Me, my wife, my sister-in-law and my wife's best friend all have the 8100.

The V3c can suck an egg. It looks slick and all, but it's not what I need in a phone. From what I hear, the only thing the V3c has that ours doesn't is OBEX out of the box. And YES that's on VZW

yeah but you are limited to 30mb internal memory and no expandable memory available, so I think i would be content with what we got. If the razor added a flash and a expandable memroy slot i might have a harder look at it but right now i almost feel like it would be a downgrade so i guess i will be keeping my 8100 a little longer.

I have had this phone for the past week and I just upgraded from the 6000. I didn't know a phone could do this much stuff. With the new 1k mini sd card that just came out. I don't have to lug my ipod to the gym with me anymore. All my favorite songs 200-300 will be in my phone. Not to mention the other many things I can do on this phone. I SUPPORT WHAT YOUR SAYING 100%........
Come on all you out there . Get a CLUE 🙂

I've had this phone for 1 week. Great phone. Agree with all of your comments.

One question, though. My phone gets "warm" (keypad and battery) after about 7-10 minutes of talk time. Does that happen to any of you and is it a defect in a phone? Or is that normal? It doesn't get "hot", but warm enough to notice.

Thanks,

That is completely normal. All cell phones do that.
