i have had the 8100 since the begining of october and have loved the phone... the conly complaints i have are that it feels very bulky in my pockets, cant use sounds as ringtones, you cant use the speaker phone closed and the earpiece volume. now i was at a party and i noticed my friend had the samsung counterpart and it seemed WAY thinner... i put it im my pocket and i couldnt even notice it was there. so i was talking to him about it and he said he could use his sounds as ringtones... this pissed me off knowin that i can not... to make matters worse, he said he could use the speaker with the phone closed! now- are there any things better about the 8100 than the samsung 950 that should keep me from switching... thanks 4 your help guys

A few things off the top of my head that are better than the 950 would be the calrity of the front screen, the fact that the front screen goes completely dark on the 950 and you have to hold a button down for several seconds, not just a tap, to get it back on, you can't read text messages on the front screen of the 950. I know theres more, but theres a few.

Phone #2: Worked well for about three weeks and the cutting in and out became unbearable. I couldn't even use the phone in my house and Verizon has excellent service in Brooklyn, NY. I returned the phone after an argument with the store because I was on my 21st day and not within the 15 day policy that Verizon has. They were ...

I had TWO a950s for about a week. Be aware: 1st - voice dialing is horrible. Might be more direct but constantly misses and sends to text instead of dialing. Samsung and Motorola use 3rd party software for voice dial. 2nd - battery lasts about 1 1/2 days with less than an hour of actual talk time. 3rd - Reception slightly better, but in the end, the cons outweighed the pros.
