Software vs Hardware

MORTFE

I read somewhere on HF that the volume and BT problems are a hardware issue, not software. If this is true, they will never be fixed. I suggested a class action suit. I know there was some talk about this awhile back on here. Whatever became of it? 🤣 🤣 🤣

it is a software issue not hardware, and the lawsuit isn't going to work again becasue verizon has done a good job covering their buts after the 710 catastrophy. they never promised full bt on this phne and never advertised it as such, all collateral says bt headset profiles only so we really have no leverage and just have to live with it. If you read through here there are ways to work around most of the stuff that limits the bluetooth, including file transfer

Not looking for full BT. I'm looking for BT without echo and static. What about the volume issue? Software or hardware. As far as legal action, many people will confirm to these issues. VZW are a bunch of clowns and need to be forced to fix these issues. If we let them get away with it, they'll continue to screw us.

It seems as though every phone with BT has echo and static. As far as the volume issue, Verizon says they and LG are aware and supposedly working on a fix.

Only telling you what I read on HF. I have heard rumors of skipping v05 because of problems and jumping to v06, both here and HF. Search the threads.

Yes this is probably what will happen.

You shouldn't be shocked if v06 is the next release. The phone launched v01 and the first upgrade was v04 after all....

Mary, if you think you'll ever get the truth from VZW or LG, you're nuts. Have they ever admitted to a volume or BT problem? Claim they never existed.

Come in my store, i will admit to it, no problem. I have no reason to lie or mislead customers. Then i will let you use my 8100 with version 4 that has never had one volume issue since i have had it. It seems to be a spread out issue, i have never had someone complain about it at my location and we sell a lot of 8100s, i have also not heard any complaints from any other locations around me. Just curious if it varies by market. The only reason i know about it is from this forum.
