Who has used the Motorola H700 headset with the VX8100?

I received my H700 yesterday, and I immediately had problems. The headset repeatedly connected and disconnected as if I was turning the headset on and off.

I called Motorola today, and they said I may have the GSM version of the headset rather than the one for CDMA. I had no idea what they were talking about. Does that make sense to anyone?

Has anyone else experienced problems or do I possibly have a defective one? I'm going to try and find another one to see if I have the same problem.

The H500 works pretty good with my VX8100 so I assume the H700 would work as well.

Just tried a second H700, and it doesn't work either.

I went thought 3 Motorola H700s and had all the problems you listed. Also people on the other end couldn't understand a thing I said.
Me wife and I now use the H500 with our VX8100s and are very happy with the sound quality both listening and talking. Stick to the Motorola H500. It pairs great with the 8100

Gsm vs. cdma shpuldn't matter, my understanding is the bluetooth is a totally seperate thing so carry and headset shouldn't really matter. I have used the mot 700, 820, 850 and they all equally sucked in my opinion. I would recommend trying a different brand. I ended up just gettin a cheap scala 500 and it works better than the motos di, and cost half as much.

I have the H700. Bought it in Best Buy. No problems except for occasional echo with a NY number, but I get this echo with the phone also. Works great. I also tried the H500 and had a lot of static. My HS850 worked pretty good also except for the delay on incoming calls. According to LG, Motorola headsets are not compatible with 8100. Mine works fine - so far.

Well, my H700 which worked perfectly for 2 weeks, now has a lot of static an other end. Might be because I dropped it. Swapped it out for a new one, so we'll see or maybe LG is right and the Moto's are really incompatible. The new update is supposed to correct the BT problem, if you can believe anything VZW tells you.
