first off, happy holidays to everyone, hope all goes well for you all.

ok, i have bitpim downloaded on my computer and have been tweeking around with songs gettin them ready so when i got a data cable for christmas i could upload them onto my phone. well instead i got a mini SD card and a USB card writer (looks like a flash drive but you plug the SD card in it and it writes stuff to it). my question to this is can i transfer my created ringtones to my mini SD card that i made on bitpim, and if so is there anythign i need to do in order for this to work. or am i unable to do use these since they are on a mini SD card and in mp3 format since you can't use them as ringtones? any help would be great on how i put these directly to my pho...

You can have MP3's you created as ringtones, but not with the card. You DO need either a data cable or BT USB adapter to use Bitpim.

also i was wondering which i should get, the data cable or the BT USB and what would be the point of keeping the card and the USB card writer/reader if i got the cable or BT?

As far as instructions on using the BT USB adapter, all you need to do is install the software that comes with the adapter and your phone will be connected. Then when you have your phone installed and you put the adapter in and go to Bitpim and hit "send phone data" it will go right to your phone.

I personally prefer the USB adapter over the cable. It is so easy and no wires!

The point of keeping the card and reader would be to put MP3's on it for using your phone for an MP3 player, or moving pics taken with the phone onto the card to put on your PC, or putting videos on the card to watch anytime you want right on your phone!
