mp3's on v .6
spazz
Dec 30, 2005, 12:10 PM
well i just got a v .6 8100 yesterday
and it's pretty sweet. i loaded wma files
via minisd quite easily. but i'm trying to do
mp3's and it wont. no matter how short the
file names and all that other junk. i even went into the secret menu. menu 0 (pw 000000).
and enabled mp3 at the bottom of the secret menu. and it still won't play mp3's. i use mp3 pro and its such a good compression method.. half the size of my wma's and i'd love to use them. any ideas guys?
...
try just a regular 128 mp3, it might not be liking the conversion rate.
...
the problem is that mp3s wont play with version 6. its only wma. you ahve to convert everything to wma format to play on the phone.
...
honestly i've never really dealt with wma's much, what's the size of those compared to an mp3?
...
really it depends.. i have seen them anywhere from 1.2 to about 3.5 mb. but with the new verizon music. they will run about 60 kb
...
well i suppose as long as the're no bigger, and the quality is the same its no biggy to me, i only bought a 256 mb card for the phone because i have an ipod already, so i figured i'd just have a few songs on the phone incase i wanted to listen to music if i didnt have my ipod with me.
...
yeah all i have is a 256 card as well, and i have about 5 or 6 hours of music.. so its enough for me.
