LG VX-8100

I've had this phone since 12/05/05 and have been happy with it so far. I have been reading the forum about volume bug. Has anyone figured out how to fix it? I also read from another posting to change the Voice Privacy setting to "Standard" and Earpiece volume to "High" and Auto Volume setting to "Off" and that should do the trick. Has anyone else tried this and does it work?

Second question is I read on LG's website in the Spec sheet that the phone memory is 512 MB, but I went to my phone's memory section and it only said 1308 KB used and 30917KB available. What gives???
