Does the VX 8100 play wma format songs?

I searched the archives and was not able to find a clear answer to the above question. In one post, the suggestion was to convert MP3's to WMA. In most other posts, it was to convert WMA to MP3 format. I have the latest version of MS Windows media player and it does not seem to have a WMA to MP3 converter. I can purchase converter software for $20 but since I'm only interested in putting 20 or so of my favorite songs on the 512M mini-sd card, memory space is not a problem for WMA format songs. I loaded several WAV songs in the MP3 folder and the Sounds folder and they were not recognized by the VX 8100. Any help or information would be appreciated. Thanks. sli22sli

Media Player 10 should convert from .wma to .mp3.

The latest OFFICIAL version of the vx8100's firmware is 04. SOME people have version 6.
Be aware that version 6 has been RECALLED and is NOT an officioal release.

I would say its more of a "oops, that was released by mistake" more than its buggy so they recall it.
