Bluetooth and Jabra BT 350 headset problem

I recently purchased an LG 8100 and a Jabra JBT350V headset. This is the first time I have every used a bluetooth headset and have to say I was very disappointed. The first Jabra JBT350V headset had a lot of interference and was crackling on both ends of the phone call. I had the headset replaced and the problem was better, but not resolved by any means. I took it back to Verizon and explained the problem. A Verizon sales representative assured me that bluetooth headsets are supposed to be crystal clear (when in reasonable distance provided there aren't interfering radio waves, etc.). They said that it was probably my handset and replaced my LG 8100 with a new one. I took it for the weekend away and still had problems. I was hearing crackling on my end of the line and people were saying that they could hear themselves when they were talking to me. I took the devices back to Verizon again and they listened to the headset and said that needed to be replaced (3rd time). I charged the headset up and tried it again, but still hear crackling on my end of the line. I have tried the headset and phone in numerous locations to see if there are interfering radio waves; however, I get the problem everywhere. Also, I have only had the handset about 1 foot away from the headset every time I use it. Is this how bluetooth headsets are supposed to be? So in summary, I have had my lg 8100 replaced twice and my Jabra JBT350V headset replaced 3 times. Should I try a different headset or even switch to a different handset, such as the razar or e815. Thanks again for any help you can provide.

Hmmm...tough one there. It's normal for the person on the other end to hear echo at times, but this can be helped by lowering the volume on your handset and your headset. The cracking you hear, though, I don't know. Try the volume adjustments and if that doesn't work, I'd say try a different kind of headset, maybe the Jabra BT150, Jabra BT250V or the Motorola H500.
