LG Phones

Question. My last 3 phones have been LG. All have had echo. Has anyone else experienced this? I had a Samsung before the LG and tried 2 a950's. No echo with either. Is this an LG problem or a VZW network problem with the LG chipset? I really love my 8100 and want to stay with VZW. The BT has been horrible, either echo or static. I still believe the BT echo is related to the phone echo, as I have experienced it both at the same time. Any help appreciated. 😛

I have had a lot of LG's; 4600, 4500, 4400, 6000, 6100 and now the 8100. I have never had echo with any of the handsets.

I had an echo on phone with 510, 6000, 6100 and now the 8100. Especially with one person in NY. The only headset, which was perfectly clear on both ends, was the Scala 500. But VZW screwed that up with the update. Now it never stays connected. I am in central NY. Where are you? Maybe there is not so much cell traffic where you are. I had less problems before update and wish the hell I could get v01 back.

my scala still works pretty good. As far as echo goes, i only seem to get it when i talk to certain people, one person i talk to echoes all the time but everyone else is clear, not sure if it is just my phone, their phone or something screwy in the system when in transfers us through the switch since we are in different markets? who knows i just deal with it, it is not that bad. My old moto would just drop calls and beep real loud in my ear so a little echo here and there doesn't bug me to bad.

Never had an echo with Scala. Crystal clear on both ends, just won't stay connected to phone since v04 update. Cardo said to wait for v06 and see what happens. Similar experiences with other headsets (they found a thread on HF).

my lg vx8100 is echoing constantly...on 3rd phone and has volume issue also. Brought it back tonight only to be told there is nothing they could do because it is normal for this to occur. There was no manager there to talk to as they were tied up in something.

Echo could be an LG bug. I have had it in the 510. 6100 and now 8100. Tried 2 a950's. No echo but voice dial sucked. The volume problem - don't let them snow you. If they won't replace it, call CS. The v04 update screwed everything up. BT was a lot better in v01 and v04 didn't fix the volume or camera. Might want to wait for v06 - due out around the 15th. 😡

From my experience, echos are part of the network, not the phones. But, after reading your posts, it's making me wonder.

I used to be with Cingular and T-Mobile and both networks had echos.

I have a VX8100 since Dec. 5th and I have not experienced any echos yet.

They told me that a possible cause of the volume issue is water, but they don't know. So I responded if it was water, then why are indicators still good, if they are extremely sensitive(as we all know)?

He said he didn't say that was my reason, but since it was normal, they couldn't do anything about it. I'll call customer service later today but not sure what they will do.

What do you think about switching it to the E815?

I tried it before the 8100. Piece of junk. Menus suck and voice dial was horrible. Found nothing, couldn't dial numbers correctly and sent almost everything to text. Samsung uses same voice dial software as Moto.
