Editing Songs For Ringtones?
I posted on here a few days ago that I sent whole songs to my phone as ringtones and that they are too quiet.
In response, someone told me to edit the song to 30 seconds first and convert it there to make the song louder.
Can ya'll reccomend a program that does this (I have Bitpim). Thanks in advance!

If you aren't particular about the exact part of the song you want as a ringtone, or you want something that you don't already have in your music collection, here's a quick and easy way to get your 30 seconds. You can set it to 30 seconds on Bitpim. After you go through the regular conversion on Bitpim, it gives you the option to set how long you want it for. As far as making it louder, you can't. It depends on the song.

The freeware Audacity will allow you to do the audio editing necessary to make the ring tones shorter and boost the volume.

Thanks for the great tips, the one about wal mart is really cool. I saw that bitpim could let me mess with the length, but Everytime i pressed play bitpim took like 30 seconds to just start playing the clip. Waiting 30 seconds everytime i move the start clip time is annoying. And great freeware help. THANKS!
