Can someone answer me this?

Ok, the 8100 was pulled temporarily to add the VCAST music (v06) software onto it and therefore it won't be available again until Monday, which is when VCAST music launches. Well....VCAST music will also be available on the 950 and Samsung even introduced the "re-relase" of it for Monday, so why has IT not been pulled to add this software? Why is it still available? I know in all the VCAST Music info it states that if you already have these two phones, you can bring them in and get them updated, but that still doesn't explain why the 8100 is temp. unavailable and not the 950. Just incredibly curious.

i believe the 8100 was also due for some updating at the same time so that may have had something to do with it. They also fixed some speaker volume problem as well as the camera/video lag. It was also pulled off because of a mistake where the phone was sold with the new version allowing people with these phones to download music from their music service for free since it still didn't launch. The phone will be back on Monday 1/16 with the new software on it.

Went in Friday and got yet another 8100, brand new, so they did have them-they were NOT pulled last week at the store I went to (Costa Mesa, CA). Box had green dot on it. The phone had and still has v04 on it, however the camera delay is much shorter, demontrably better, and this I know for sure, it's that much faster. Can't tell about the flucuation on the volume-since it was sporadic, I can't simply duplicate it at will. I asked about the software update, and got of course blank looks from everyone at the store. LA Times ran a scathing piece on Verizon and their plan to update this phone with new software that will disable the mp3 capabilities.

Remember my earlier post Mary. The v06 software was accidentally released early. This was a mistake so, with all the new phones shipping with v06 they didn't have anything to sell.

In my store they weren't pulled, we just eventually sold out of them and were forced to wait because the ones we had in the stock room had V07 on them. So it might have seemed like they were pulled, but they weren't.
