Here's one way

1. Create the MP3 clip you want to make into a ringer

i personally would get the data cable off ebay. got mine for 8 bucks s/h included. if you use bitpim you dont have to go in there trying to figure out how to write the brew or anything. bitpim does the conversions and everything for you!!

When you add ringtones using Bitpim, does it edit the myringtone.dat file? I'm a little worried about using it that way because I've always used Josh's 8100 program to write the .dat file and just edited the filesystem myself, which is annoying. If Bitpim does this for me that would be sick.

to be honest, i dont know a whole lot about the process. i just know that i get the 30 sec clip i want, import it, bitpim does all the conversions and whatnot, writes the brew, and it works. i dont have to do anything.

How many ring tones do you have? If the number is less than 10 do me a favor and try to put on like 10 more. I'm just wondering if Bitpim can override the memory restriction.
