im thinking about getting this phone. im switching from cingular to verizon and would possibly like the lg vx8100. what are the perks about thiis phone.what dont you like about the phone..what about the front display is good/bad. also, when someone calls, does the status light switch to rainbow colors? if its on.
another question. im trying to figure out how many text messages to get. if someone that also has verizon texts you does that take away from oyour text messages. basically saying do recieved texts take away from your available texts?

you can turn the status light off and the front display is the best i have ever seen.

bluetooth is headset only unless you do some tweaking
speaker phone, the phone must be open
vcast, costs a lot 15$ but unlimited mobile web is nice
camera has delay on high resolution
some people experience volume fluctuations, i never have but people post on here about it

I'm one of those who have experienced the volume flucuation issue. However, with version 07 of the software it is fixed on most phones.
I am on my fifth 8100. This phone has no feature problems like the previous 4 have had, but it does drop calls. Taking it back today to see if they didn't program it.
8100 is a great phone, if you get one that works correctly.
