Protected WMA's
I got flashed with v. 7 yesterday. I like it. But I heard that WMA's play on the new music player. And I saw in a previous thread that somebody mentioned that verizon is pairing up with Microsoft and their "play for sure" network. Well it may not be true. I have a subscription to "Napster to go" and I transferred some Protected WMA's to my minisd and I loaded them on my phone. Well when you press the play button your phone goes into the "connecting" screen but says "protected content: Searching for license" So if anybody was wondering about that, I would hope this saves you some time.

Yeah I got the same thing when I transferred songs that I downloaded using Ruckus. It's stupid because the file has a license, just because it's not from Verizon doesn't mean it shouldn't work.

I have a general question, what happens if you burn them on a cd then put the cd back into your computer and put those songs in another folder unasociated with napster or vcast music? Does the liscence continue to follow it. Just wondering if you could burn them, then rip them back onto computer and loose the restrictions in the process? I know you can onle burn itunes cd's so many times and vcast music i beleive is 5 times, but once you burn a cd what stops you from ripping or copying that cd as much as you want.
