question guys
with my vx8000 i send a mp3 snip thats about 25 seconds to my phone via fun4mobile
it comes through as a picture message and allows me to save it as a sound
then it appears when
you go into sounds, then call sounds,then call ringtone.
is this the same case if you were to do that with the 8100

You cannot do this with the 8100. The only way to get ringtones besides GIN is to use Bitpim.
