Is there a way to back up (and edit) your contact list on a pc then download it to the phone to update? If so, what would I need to do this and is there any special software needed for the pc?

Thanks for your help!

Yes sir! There are a few ways to do it. YOu can get a mobile office kit from verizon for the phone (49.99 i believe), or you can get the usb cable for the phone (found on lg's site, radioshack, ebay, etc). Sometimes these cables come with software that does simple things like what you are asking....backing up phonebooks...however they don't do more complicated stuff like allow you to put ringtones on the phone or videos or anything like that....for that kind of stuff there are several programs...the most notorious is bitpim, and if I were you I'd read the help or faq's on that software before playing with it. It's fairly easy to use, however if you play with the wrong thing, it can mess up your phone.

Hope this helps....
