LG VX-8100
need a new phone
i have the lg 6000 i think it time for an upgrade so im thinking of the samsung a950 and the lg 8100 i dont know which one to get i want to know the pros and cons and about the camera and the reception of both phones to find out which one would be the best choose.

I get great reception with my 8100, great battery life, great sound, easy music. Its simply my dream phone. Now, I did like my old samsung (the one under the a950, but 8100 defeats it in every way. My qualms about the a950 is smaller and fuzzier inner and outer screen than 8100 and I do not like the red. Also, I like my surround sound speakers on the 8100. Hope this helps at all. SOrry i couldnt compare them.

Well, I can compare both as I have had both. I started out with the 8100 the day it came out, but when the 950 came out, even though I LOVE my 8100, I got it just to try it out since it was something new. I quickly knew I liked my 8100 so much better. First of all the interior as especially the exterior screen were far superior on the 8100. With the 950 you cannot view text messages on the front screen and the screen goes completely dark after a few seconds and you have to hold a button down for several seconds (unlike a quick tap with the 8100) to see time or missed calls, etc. Also, even though they both have the standard Verizon UI, the 8100 has more options available, changing font for one. Anyway....IMO, the 8100 is so much better...
