LG VX-8100
Version 7 patch?
I went in yesterday to get the update and was told that they would do it but that I should wait because they are coming out with a patch. the tech told me that they had a meeting with an LG rep and that is what they are not telling customers. Anyone else have this happen? I know that many techs do not seem to know as much as this forum (MARY!!!!) but he did seem to know what he was talking about.

I've heard "rumors" that they will be coming out with a software version that will allow both WMA's and MP3's without switching in the "secret menu" and that V07 didn't have this because since it was a new thing (VCAST Music) they didn't want to confuse people by having both so they only allowed one (VCAST Music). Not sure if this is the case, but could be.

Here is the story i have heard form multiple people and read a little about in an article, First of all it is a known fact that their are some issues with the update, for one is the lack of gin, the next is if you are in a game and close your phone it sticks on the get it now menu and you have to open your phone back up to exit, soem other small bugs exist as well, but those are the only ones i can think of right now. As far as any update coming shortly it will address these issues. They are also working on a second update that has all of the upgrades but leaves music on demand off the phone. This will let people who want the update but not the mod to get their phone flashed, or for those who need their phone fru'd. So basically i have heard...

I like the ability to play WMA's, someone said they're smaller files. However, I don't use MOD. Will I be able to play WMA's on the non-MOD version?
