i just got a new 8100 and cant seem to get the
mp3 player to work?

Need more info. Do you have a mini sd? What version do you have. If its new version 7, follow the steps that are ALL over the board here. Something about the secret menu. If that's not your problem, then I do not know.

Yeah, if you just got it (after 1-16-06) then it has the new software and if you want to use the MP3 player vs. VCAST Music, then you need to re-enable it. Directions are all over on here.
