LG VX-8100
V07 is it worth Loosing all your MP3's ?
I just spoke with a major verizon store and one of the sales persons that has 8100 she updated to v07 and it messed up here mp3 mini sd card with all her MP3s on it .
Now I would really like to correct the camera delay and volume control issue on this phone . I am not willing to mess with my MP3's due to it all.
Does anyone know what we should do ? Wait for V08 hopefully that corrects this issue , without messing with your MP3 software ?
Please advise if anyone know's anything ?

first of all you should take themini sd card out of the phone and that will not happen, yes it will diable the mp3 but read the forums you can reenable it. so if your that dumb to leave the card in then yes you might lose everything.

First of all I am not that dumb to leave the card in.. I would never leave it in. Can someone please assit me on the work around on updating v07 and work around any other issues .

? the only work around is the mp3 player and that has been posted multiple times. tkae your card out, when they flash your phone and hand it back to you hit menu then 000000, this will put you in secret menu, option 11 is music setting, select it and hit mp3 and hit ok. Now hit the end button to get out of that menu.
Step two, to turn your play buttons back on go into the menu under tools and settings and select tools, then select shortcut key, then select play key, then slect my mp3, hit ok button
now your phone works the same as it did prior to update but your volume issues and camera lag are less irritating

wow dude was pissed off about nobody giving him step by step instructions even though its been said 8 million times. Which isn't a big deal if he didn't want to do a search, I myself like to be lazy sometimes. But he could have thanked yeahright for being helpful, and by the way because of this little trick version 7 is definitly worth it.

I have done this to the 8100 phone yet but I guess who I was reffering to Duckbutter that I have talked to others that have kept the card in the phone and fried it.
To me it's common sense to take it out if we have heard of the problem with MP3's being disabled.
Second , I am not that lazy of a person to respond to Scott. I know that sure on how this site works for seaching out threads to find correct ways of fixes. Like most you post and other's repsond .
You have to be careful with all this anyway .
Mary told me that the B/T 640 Discovery was great and I got it and found out it was a piece of your know what .
Going back to amazon where I got it .

Bt headsets are way up in the air, i have heard so many suggestions and the only thing i can say is that in my case the cardio scala sucks, the moto 500 and 850 equally suck. I personally haven't found one that works that great with this phone. I called lg yesterday to see if they will have their bt headset ready for order anytime soon but they had no info. I am trying to hold out and order that one from lg when it becomes available, i am thinking that is my best bet to get a satisfying one, just this one is out of stock on their website.
