Mary,
I have yet to find a BT headset that I found acceptable.... And I read your post on here that you were loving this thing, and CNET reviews say the same.... But I wanna make sure you're STILL lovin it, before I go out and buy it. I loved my Jabra 250V when I firs got it, but two days worth of static made me change my mind. is this the best there is?????

To be completely honest, I do still LIKE it, but I don't LOVE it anymore. After using it for some time, I found some things I wasn't too happy about. I also use a Motorola H500 and have been using that more than the 640 lately. On the H500 when you go out of range and it disconnects, as soon as your back in range it will re-connect automatically, whereas, the 640 doesn't. After time, too, I found the button to place/end calls to be a little tricky. You have to hold it down for several seconds to initiate a call and sometimes I would hold it down a second too long and it would disconnect! Sometimes I would unknowingly disconnect then when my phone would ring I couldn't answer with the headset because it was off! Overall fit and clarity...

I dont think thats enough to talk me out of it... So i'll probably give it a go, however the H500 was my other consideration- so Which would you say is more comfortable?

Mary....
I'm glad to hear you are still OK with your H500. I finally broke down and ordered one this morning. I hope I don't regret it. I've been using the HS820 but not 100% happy with it.

Hi Mary, I see you are very knowledgeable with cell phones. I have a question for you.
Out of these three phones which is your personal favorite.
Samsung sch a950, Motorola e815 or the LG VX8100.
I'm looking to get one but not sure which is the best for me. I'm looking for good reception, long battery life, MP3 player thats easy to load songs on minus Vcast.
Your suggestions would be very valuable.

Thanks
James

Well, considering your important features in a phone, I'd say the 8100.

The 815 has good reception and fairly good battery life. Easy to load MP3's, but no outside buttons for play. Phone is also a little big, bulky and cheap feeling.

The 950 has good reception, battery life could be better, MP3's have to be loaded with the Music Essentials Kit in WMA format if you don't have VCAST service in your area or don't want to subscribe to it. Fairly easy though. Smallest of the 3, though, and internal antenna makes it more compact.

The 8100 has good reception, excellent battery life, MP3's are very easy to load and can play them with the phone closed and use the outside buttons (just have to re-enable MP3 player to play as MP3's vs. ...

Mary,
I went out on your suggestion of buying it and return it in two weeks back to amazon.com.
What a piece of #$%@.
The buttons were so buggy and never worked the way you wanted them too. To engage or disingage was so frustating I couldn't wait to ship it back . Also to charge it was the most frustrating of all. Never locked into cylinder properly to get a corerct charge.
I wasted 20.00 on shipping on this product and was more unhappy then jabra 500..
I REALLY THINK THERE SHOULD BE A RULE BEFORE REVIEW A PRODUCT YOU NEED TO HAVE IT FOR AT LEAST A MONTH.
