Auto volume and Voice Priv. w/V07
Has anyone had the time, or even cared, to play with turning the Auto Volume setting, or Enhance Voice Privacy, on, since you've had the v07 upgrade? I'm just curious if those problems were fixed, that's all.

Ever since v07 I've been running with Auto Volume (sounds good as a feature) on as well as Enhanced Voice Privacy (I figure the more encryption the better! 🙂
I previously ran with them off since it was 'claimed' that it helped the quiet volume issues. v07 *completely* fixed the quiet thing and with the aforementioned *both* enabled I find myself frequently knocking it down a notch in volume b/c it's *too* loud 🙂

I just got the VX8100, if it's possible can you tell me what the issues were? Then I can tell you what it does now. I just made the changes that LG-CJ talked about since they were not on already so I'll see what it does.

I would recommend leaving these settings as is. They never affected the volume fluctation problem anyway (some will differ, they are wrong).

Leave the "Enhanced Voice Privacy" off. It causes a "static" or "feedback" muffling of your calls. I am not sure the auto volume is messing things up anymore, but need more time to find out.

That would be interesting to know for sure. I've gotten the feedback only maybe 3-4 times out of a year of ownership (or so). If it's truly adding another layer of security to my conversations, then I'd rather go with it... even if it is a little more susceptible to anomolies...
