Well, I had been waiting on this thing forever hoping to finally get a bluetooth headset to work great. Well I have some good and bad points so here it goes.

Pros
Looks-about the size of a small lighter, sleek looking
Sound- Excellant sound quality on user end, very little echoe or static complaints from person on other end, best out of the any other ones I tried. Very loud and clear! 🙂
Pairing-less than a second!
voice calling-no problems recognizing voice commands

Cons
Fit-terribly uncomfortable, it has a wrap over the ear arm, but the atual earpeice is designed to fit in you ear? doesn't fit well at all đŸ˜ĸ

So all in all it is an excellant headset, the voice and sound quality is the best of all i have used(motos 700 850...

What about talk-time, standby-time? How long? What are the features? The web site has nothing and when I called LG, they didn't have a clue.

I did not have such luck.

Pro's

Voice dialing works well, volume control is excellent - Agreed
Clarity is good on my end - Agreed
Easy Pairing - Agreed

Con's

If I lose phone signal (I have an area around my house where it always goes out) the bluetooth disconnects.

On several occaissions when answering the phone, it appears to be unsure of how to react - I can't hear others, they can't hear me - kind of defeats the purpose of having a headset.

People I am calling say they hear an echo of themselves on their end.

Comfort is okay - not great, not horrible.

Unknowns:

Battery life - I have spoken on it over 40 minutes continuously and battery was still going.

Overall Impression:

Still better than everything...

Does it re-connect automatically or do you have to do it manually?

Have to reconnect manually. After 1 more day though, the echo on the other end is really bad. It's clear for me when I make the calls, but the echo is really bad for people calling me either from land lines or cell phones - doesn't seem to make a difference. As soon as I plug in my wired headset, everything is fine - no echoes for anyone. ☚ī¸

just a few days, but my cons were instant with the motos and scala, i never loved up any of these headsets. Out of the box it is the loudest and most clear headset i have used, after about 4 hours of converstaion on it i have had no complaints from people on the other end about static, backgroud noise or echoe. I am not saying it is perfect, but by far the best i have tried so far, unfortunately it is uncomfortable in my opion, but i am j hoping over time i get used to the feel of it, that is my only long term concern.

People on the other end get a lot of echo when I use my HBM-300. I'm wondering if it has to do with the Verizon bastardization of the Bluetooth software.

What SW version are you running? I have SW T81VZV07, PRL Version 50494, and ERI version 4.

same, no echo problems on mine, people say they can tell i am on a headset but i sound good. I have the volume almost all the way down on the 8100 and almost all teh way up on the headset, that seemed to be the best setting for me. I have noticed on all the headsets i have tried you have to tweak the volume on headset and phone to get it working well. On my motos i don't have this problem, i just think the 8100 bluetooth software in the phone sucks, but this one has been the best for me so far.

why so crabby, the way you wrote that almost seems like you are upset that I found it to be a good headset?

I believe he is upset because I had posted that I loved the Plantronics Discovery 640 headset, he bought it, hated it then ask me about it again and I said after using it for a long time, I wasn't as thrilled with it as I originally was. It almost sounded like he was blaming me for him buying it because I said it was good. Usually you know immediately if a headset is good or bad, other times it takes some time, but to be fair...a headset I think is awesome and continue to think is awesome after several months of use may be considered junk to you. Take the SCALA for instance. I immediately thought it was junk, but so many others on here have praised it!

Mary,
I am not blaming anyone. I think before I choose to praise a product , I would wait a month. My only complaint is that MOST DON'T DO THAT HERE.
They run out buy it and first week praise it . I am very aware that it's up to me to take them on there word or not . Totally my responsiblity.
I am new to these posts and I have learned to take what people say with a gain of salt.

Well I do think before I rate a product, i use phones for awhile before i rate them and give unbiased ratings. I own an 815 a razr and the 8100, currently selling 8000 on ebay. So I guess my point is I am not an lg fanboy and i don't care if the headset said walmart on the side of it as long as it worked well. The scala and motos i tried i knew sucked immediately after using them for the first time. The lg has been used in my office, at home and in my car with little complaint at all. however it is ungodly uncomfortable in my OPINION. I have also tried it on the 815 and the razr, with excellent results on all three phones. I am not cnet, if you want a full 3 month track record then go there I was just posting my impression after a few days o...

had it a month, still love it, i have even tried a few others sice i purchsed this one for the heck of it and still works best on the 8100. Oh, i have also used the lg headset on the 815 and the razr. Sold my moto 850 and gave the scala to the wife. the lg headset is kinda of uncomfortable, but after i have used it for awhile i have gotten used to it. sound clarity is excellant on both ends, turn phone volume to 2 and crank volume up on actual headset was best setting for me. battery life is excellant, i charge it every two weeks, only use it in my car about 30mins a day.

I have been through 4 b/t headsets, I wouldn't think anything is wrong with confirming how long he's had it .

This BT headset is no diff than others-lots of echo for people calling you, scratchy at times, plus unlike other it disconnects fairly often and randomly. I think it's the phone, not the BT headsets. I've tried 6 diff brands, all with the same problems, however I know other phones seems to work with BT (esp Motorola).
