Text Messeges
Good morning everyone, I was wondering if you all had a problem with text messeges; I'll explain...My gf have a cingular account and I am with verizon, well; I am able to text messege her and she receives them but I am not able to received her messeges at all...I can received everyone elses but not hers. I was wondering if anybody had this same problem and if there's a fix to it...I dial *228 and option 2 but I am still having the same problem...any help would be really appreciated. Thanks.

No, I have not had that problem. I have friends with both Cingular and T-Mobile accounts whom I text all the time with no problems.

It may not be a phone issue. I hat the same problem with my wife's phone. Somewhere down the line your number may not be loaded in a database they have for valid phone numbers. I had the issue attempting to text my wife from my Verizon phone to my wife who was on what was AT&T Wireless. I would get a number not valid error on my end. was able to work with it through upper level support at Verizon. It took about a week to correct, and was handled by one of the switch techs out of New Jersey. He told me that they didn't have my wife's number loaded in some sort of database correctly, once it was loaded I didn't have any issues text messaging her. He even thanked me for pointing the issue out.
