stupid dumb bluetooth
so far the bluetooth on my phone has sucked big time!, i have the moto hs810 ,805,500 and with all three people on the other end always go"what i cant hear you" and "are you using that stupid earpiece?" so im pissed cuz its cool idea but its too weak, i thought maybe it was just the phone but this my second 8100 , i had to replace one already but it was my fault. but the other one sucked on bluetooth too , i had a moto 710 and i only used the headset when i drove and you always speak louder when youre driving so it wasnt a problem,so there im done bitching 😛 im considering tryng one more ,any suggestions? id appreciate your thoughts or comments or any constructive crtitisism , thanks

lg needs to step it up
ok i love just about everything on my 8100 except of the face that it can only record 15 second videos. i mean come on lg how long has sony ericson been able to record endless videos and now moto can do the same. i dont know about yall but this pisses me off because i love my phone but i need them to make sure the next phone that's avaliable to the market can record more than 15 second videos.

MP3 Folder GONE after formatting card!
Okay, so I’m the one who’s had problems with static as MP3s when the phone is in No Service. A tech advised me to reformat the card (since I’ve had several phones and used the same card in each). Well, I chose to format the card and the “My MP3” folder is GONE! Nowhere to be found. Is it just me, or is this unusual?

sd mp3 problem
when I try to drag my switched wma to mp3 files onto my card it says that the disk is write protected and I know the songs are not protected because there is nothing under the license and because it says no under protected so is this an issue with my card or is it something with my windows media player that isn't letting me use it also I got my card and reader on ebay so it is an off brand card the brand is either my flash or A-data. someone please help this was a large draw for my buying this phone and not having it is a big let down

Reject
Finally gave up on 8100. After 5 phones, couldn't deal with it anymore. The last phone, brand new, not only had the volume & BT problem, but constantly losing calls. Never had that before. Now a proud owner of a950. Hate to say it, so far excellent. 🤣 🤣 🤣

Why are the MANUALS so lacking?
Now dont get me wrong I have no problem figuring these phones out on my own being that I have a "tech" background. But for someone that doesnt such as some of my friends these manuals might as well not even be given out. Although they do tell you how to use the basic functions, so many other functions are left up to us to find out on our own. By that I am not even talking about "hidden" functions I mean funtctions that in my opinion should simply be par for the course.

8100 extended battery
Does the 8100 accept an extended battery? If so does it need another back cover? Also I just ordered the LG wall charger that charges just the battery, does anyone have this charger? Does it charge an extended battery?
I usually don't ask this many questions @ one time but I am new to the phone.
TIA

Mary 424--A Question
Mary,
Have you put your own ringtones on the 8100? I direct this towards you because you and I, I think, have similar views about actually hacking the phone/endangering the warranty.
I ask because I have tried the BitPim method with no success.
Thanks so for your time 🙂

Where to purchase?
Ok, so thanks to some of you, I HAVE decided to go out and purchase this phone this weekend. After reading through the reviews and such, I just have two last questions.
1. We have a circuit city near our house that sells Verizon stuff, and also a regular Verizon store of course. Any opinions on which is the better place to purchase? Are their return policies the same? Does Circuit City get refurbished phones, or are they exact same ones as in the real Verizon stores? Where am I more likely to get a "newer" model with less bugs. Maybe these are dumb questions, but I hate dealing with problem phones that I have to return over and over again, and I was just wondering where I'd have the most luck.
2. I know there have been several s...

Possible price drop after new releases?
Sorry if some of you have already read this...I know I posted it in the main Verizon forum too, but I wasn't sure which one got more action.
I'm thinking of buying a LG VX8100 full retail, but I had a quick question that maybe some of you had some info. on or experience with.
I have been reading the forum posts, and it seems that the RAZR and a new Nokia will be coming out within the next month or so, both of which I think will be too expensive for me to consider buying full retail even though they both seem cool.
I really like the 8100 however, and I know it's at about $300 right now. My question is, with the release of those new "high end" phones that will compete with the 8100, do you think there might be a slight price drop in ...
