i730 vrs. XV6600 input?
Then I heard about the i730. The processor specs are better and it definitely looks better. Life got a little more complicated.
The XV6600 hasn't even come up in this forum for quite a while. Either everyone here is a raving fanatic, or there is are good reasons.
I'd like some input. Here is what I've heard:
XV6600: No Wi-Fi (may be the same for the i7...

Your best bet is to just wait for i730 then compare the two. Everything on the i730 sounds really good. I do have to disagree with the previous post, there will eventually be a camera. That is the thing, everyone has their own opinions and mostly everyone have no basis for their belief, they heard something on a forum and took it for fact. I have heard from two separate VZW reps that there will be a camera and a non-camera version on release. If you are in a trial period with the 6600, I would return that phone, wait for the i730, if you like it---keep it! If not, you can always go back to the 6600.
I was actually looking for more specifics about what makes the i730 better than the xv6600.
Wi-Fi currently is not a big thing for me, but I would like the capability. It looks like the camera will eventually be available on both, which is big for me. There is also a possibility that the new Mobile 5 (Magneto) may not be compatible with the XV6600, which would be a huge problem. The i730 definitely has the advantage in processor speed and voice recognition. The XV6600 has the advantage of having a larger screen, which is an advantage for Office applications and web browsing.
Input please!
The locking up is a serious problem. Do you have any way of knowing if the problem is with the XV6600 device or with the Pocket PC program. The XV6600 has 128M RAM, the i730 only has 64M RAM. If the XV 6600 is crashing w/ 128M, could the i730 end up having the same or worse problems with only 64M Ram?
Also, how has the Voice Command been working on the XV6600?
I would appreciate any other input anyone has on these two phones.
