Online order status? I called...
I called the 800 Customer Service number to check status on my internet order, since I kept getting the same lame "Order received, check back tomorrow" message online.
I got transferred to the internet sales group after holding a few minutes. Now I don't know if this was BS or not...but the lady told me my order I placed online was on hold, because "With the I730 you have to select a data plan...pay as you go or unlimited. Which would you like" So since I was going to add the unlimited for $44.95 anyway...I told her to give me the unlimited. She then knocked another $100 off for selecting the data plan, and promised me overnight shipping for $399.
Yeah! Hopefully this bad boy will be in my hands tomorrow!

Just found this site/forum having ordered the i730 online yesterday. Glad I read mankman's post. Called Verizon in Pittsburgh and set up a data plan (49.99/month, not 44.95). Requested overnight shipping and a price reduction, but wasn't given any promises. I'm just anxious to play with the phone, so hopefully all of this helped. Thanks, mankman!

America's Choice with family share. I can't find any data plans on the verizon website that are 44.95. Seems like sometimes pricing depends on who you talk to!

Well from what they told me...the PDA/Smartphone Data plan is $49.95, but if you're adding the data plan to an AC plan....there's a $5 discount on the data plan, hence the $44.95 I quoted.
Here's a screenshot...I just 'pretended' to order the Treo 650 (since the i730 isn't there anymore)...and when you get to this page it shows the added data plan option for $44.95:

Try calling them see if by come wonderful stroke of luck you can get a tracking number.

I just called them. Guess what....they never processed it. That cs rep either thought that she did actually process it and then didnt submit it OR she was just bsing me the whole time. Oh well got to wait. They said it will either be processed today or tomorrow.

Phone is much smaller than I expected...I was expecting something the size of the Ipaq 24xx series PPC's....this is much smaller. It's just a hair bigger than my Kyo 7135 closed up.

WOOHOO I can still get mine today. It turns out that verizon's internet sales and the customer service see TWO different things. Turns out it was processed and shipped yeasterday. There was an attempted delivery today and I was at work. 😢 no matter anyway cause I get to pick it up!!!! WOOHOO I get my toy a week before the release HAHAHA screw release dates lol.
