Very Disappointed

I've been trying to use this phone as much as possible today and, to be frank, I am very disappointed. Among the many reasons I chose to wait for this phone was enhancing my driving safety. Well, without the tactile feel of buttons (especially when entering passwords to get access to my company's voice-mail) and without reliable voice recognition, I found myself far more distracted from my driving than I was with my standard phone. At one point I thought I would enhance my driving safety by using the speaker-phone, but that too was a challenge given the design of the speaker-phone button.

I will give this phone a couple of more days of use, but I am begining to think that for now, using a PDA phone while driving is too risky for me.

I think we can all agree that this phone was not designed for the business person - it was designed for the gizmo lovers who prefer bells and whistles. Thanks all for the candid feedback - I considered taking the plunge but will now wait for the i640 - which appears to be a real phone.

Voice dialing and speakerphone work great, but like any phone I agree without handsfree (BT or the Samsung hard wired unit) it can be a little tricky to use while driving. You need a BT headset ($79 -go with the Motorola 850, if your car doesn't have BT built-in) or Samsung makes a unit you can have hard-wire installed into your car (for around $150 www.samsungwireless.com). Then you're o...
