"GOOD" news for blackberry-like service on i730

..that explains RIM's competitor GoodLink will be provided though Sprint (currently with Cingular). GoodLink's push email service is much more feature rich than RIM's and will give Blackberry a run for the money. Plus the article says they will also support their service on the Samsung i730 through Verizon's EVDO as well as over Wifi. I think this added ability of Push over Wifi is a major PLUS!
The only thing I am concerned about here is if this service will be available to consumers. Currently GoodLink only offers service to Enterprises.

Good link client is not much different from Verizon's sync. Here are some things to consider: if your mailbox is on Exchange 2003 server, then you don't need any clients, your i730 will talk directly to it. Good link provides the same technology for enterprises without Exchange 2003. However, if you're an individual, again, there is no point for you to buy good link, even if they did offer personal editions, as your FREE verizon Sync will do the job. All of above mentioned methods have push technology.
Service is top notch and they offer good-link as an add-on.
Goodlink uses some proprietary technology and is not compatible with other input technology.
As a result it will not work with pocket word, or third party handwriting recongnition programs.
BIG MINUS with Goodlink = NO SPELL CHECK!
The VZW push uses the same platform as pylon from ianywhere.
It works well but requires a PC be active as a server...if you use a laptop or the PC goes down no email.
Right now I am using a direct connect to exchange, but it checks for mail every few minutes and kills the battery.
