Using WIFI cost money?

I was told by a Verizon customer care person that if you use a Wifi hot spot or your home wireless network it will charge you Data minutes.

Is this true or did that person not know what they were talking about.(I hope not)

As long as you are using wi-fi. However, they charge you to use EV-DO.....
