WM 5.0 is here
The upgrade for WM 5.0 is now available- I downloaded it today, and so far I've liked what I seen. The soft keys are also programable, the wi-fi and phone can work simultaneously, and it still retains the pop up command windows like on WM2003.
Of course the battery life still sucks, but what the hey-

I have had no problems with WM5. As a matter of fact it runs much better than WM2003SE.

I upgraded to the wm5 a few days ago and thought it would be beneficial to others to state the good and the bad instead of just saying it is "buggy."
1st, go to www.vzw.com/data
choose the i730 then choose "samsung i730 upgrade download."
remember, I read this and I forgot right after Reading it that you will lose all data with the upgrade.
2nd, this is great. they have incorporated the software to allow soft keys and associated commands for ease of use for one hand operation. Definitely a plus!
3rd, it is much slower than WM3 was.
4th, I used my i730 as a high speed modem for my computer. since upgrading, this will no longer work.
5th, the memory is much better managed. prior to the upgrade, I would constantly get they erro...

for the speed issue if you goto pdaphone home and do a search on autostep there is a utility to adjust the speed of the CPU and answers to all of your other issues as well.
