Help Please! Small detail, but annoying - Other Languages
Hey,
Is there any simple way to get rid of the other language info on my v635?
For the predictive text in SMS it is VERY annoying b/c it comes up with German (?) or something else rather than the simple English words that are so common...So I have to scroll through, or do one letter at a time to walk it through what word I'm getting at. Had my other phone trained pretty well, this one is either dense or too filled up to get in the English habit ;)
Can anyone help, please?? You would make my life easier 🙂

Change it to predictive english. hit the button that looks like "=" thats between cancel and insert. then goto entry setup.
Change "Primary Setup" to "iTAP English".
Change "Secondary Setup" to "TAP English".
If the dictionary is still being dumb, if you have a data cable you can flash the 0003 language pack (has American English instead of UK English). I'd also upgrade to firmware R474_G_08.48.6FR while I was at it.
Oh, and lastly, if you use iTap English it will add words you manually type to the dictionary. It will also move words you use more frequently towards the top (well, left) of the list for any given number combo.

I like to think I can figure most things out on the phone, especially since this is replacing my stolen V600 that was the love of my life. I had that one set up nicely, but this one has been a little sticky to get used to coming from outside the US...Button placement is reversed on this phone too which bothers me (it's like Nokia was, but not my 600, so sad).
Is there any way to get the Quick Notes converted to English, or do I just delete them? I don't know that I'll use them at all/ever, but certainly not in another language!
