MP3s as rigntones...
I have never used the MPT software/USB cable that came with the phone...I do not know how complicated it is to use...BUT, I use the memory card for music/photo transfer and it's very simple. If this helps...
Your phone should have come with at least a 16MB TransFlash card, AND a SD adapter. If you have them already, you just need a computer and a card reader/writer that works with SD cards...Got that?
Okay, well you should have some MP3s on your computer, but if you don't/want to use something from a CD, I suggest iTunes to import and convert MP3s. You should be able to get it for free.
I don't know how much detail you need...BUT, you need to make the bit rate small (64 = smallest ok) to save space on your memory card, and you can start and stop the song wherever you want before converting it...Too much?
Okay, so if you don't want/need me to explain further, I won't. If it's too much, just let me know what you're dying to have and I'll make the MP3 for you if I can.
🙂
Let me know if more details are needed too...
