Nokia 6682 / 6681

I just got the 6682 yesterday and so far it is a great phone!! I was wondering if there is a way to move contact and calander from the phone memory to the memory card? I did a search but could not find a thread on this. Any input would be greatly appreciated!!

are there any file cleaner apps for the 6682? i want to get rid of unwanted files on the phone that r left from old apps or just files that i dont need. i have fexplorer but need to know what files i can delete or not delete thks

ok so i take it the 3g sim cards are out and available? if so can i just goto into a cingular store and get one for free?

How many songs can this phone hold? I'm debating between this and the ROKR

I am still waiting for this phone to be re-released at Cingular. I don't want to try to buy an unbranded one at the moment because I am a legacy AT&T customer with a TDMA account, and don't want to try to migrate under any kind of complications.

With this in mind, I have been keeping a very close eye on this forum, and I have been calling business care every couple of weeks looking for any kind of update. The only worthwhile updates I tend to get are on here, but I too noticed that Phonescoop is now listing this phone as discontinued.

My question is simply whether or not this phone will be back, and when. Now the best info I can find here in the forum is that it will be back, and mid December is the time frame. Does anyone have...

I have a Nokia 6681 phone (GSM 900/1800/1900). I am from the NYC/Long Island area. Is it a big deal that I don't have the 850 band? How much is the 850 band used in this area? I called Cingular support and they told me that either band is fine. There are no such areas which are only "850" towers. Can someone please help me out? I am wondering if I should keep this phone. ok i have no voice messages in my mail box but my phone shows that little symbol saying i do...also whenever i turn off and on phone i get the "new voice message" alert and when i check voice mail box it says no new messages..what the heck!

My new 512mg card arrived today (yeah...the same day Kingston put a list price on there 1mg card 🤭 ). Do I have to copy the files and apps from my current 64mg card to the new one? If so, how would I do it?

Its been a long time waiting for this Nokia 6682 now...
And.. now, looking for more options, there comes Samsung t809.. to be launched by tmobile this weekend..
seems pretty good specs on that one..and cool looks..

My display has some shortcuts set up on the main "page": phonebook, write a message, calendar, gallery and imagine print.

And below it says "no calendar entries for today".

Is there any way to get rid of all that? I tried trough profiles and themes- I cannot find it anywhere.

does anyone that reads this thread actually have a 6682 from nokia not cingular?

I am interested to know if the problem in the firmware lies in the carrier specefic area.

A non Cingular version that doesnt have all these problems could sxplain alot.

Also I my have one up for sale in the very near future if someone else wants to wait for the firmware update.

I have one, and honestly Symbian series 60 is more than I can handle. maybe more than I need.

Hi everyone...I bought a 32k sim off of eBay and tried to activate it with an operator over the phone and then directly at a store and they both said they couldn't get it to work with my phone...the number on the SIM is a digit too short (I think they were looking for a twenty digit code and mine has 19, etc.). To someone who has put a 32k in a 6682, could you please give me some advice?

Ok, so starting on the 15th the phone should be relisted in the inventory system....or so says my 'georgia marketing update 12/8' email from today.

Supports S60 on the 6680, so I assume it will work on the 6682.

Hi before I purchased this phone I read the posts to help me make a final decision. I purchased the unbranded 6682 off of ebay. I thought I wouldn't have any issues with this phone because I have the 32K sim. My phone has issues with staying connected or being connected to the headset. I have a nokia hdw-3 and a hs-850. Sometimes it will connect and other times it won't. I also have a problem with the phone resetting when I try to connect with the headset. I learned by calling nokia that because I bought the phone off of ebay that the phone is considered used and I will have to pay them to fix it. I like this phone but now I wish I would have just stuck with my 6620. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance!!

I am having a little trouble. I installed an application called "PixOmat". It will not work correctly with the 6682, but when I try to go to the application manager to remove it, the app mgr does not show it in its list. I tried going to the file mgr to try to delete it directly from the memory card, but it did not show up there either. Any ideas? How do I uninstall this program?

Hello all,

My contract is going to run out at the end of November and I'm thinking about upgrading my call quality without losing my ability to browse the internet.

These two phones appear to be my least expensive options so I'm hoping that someone here has used both or even all three phones so that they can give me their opinion as to which one is best.

I played around with the 6682 and the 5600 the other day. I found that they both loaded www.niketalk.com at about the same speed (5600 was a little faster). It seemed like the 5600 changed view faster and scrolled better (the image didn't blur). The 5600 also has three view options to the 6682's two (using Opera).

That's all I've got to go on for making my decision.
