Nokia 6682 / 6681

Does anyone know how to install games and other programs onto the phone? I use the install applications program and choose to install the program through my phone, however, I cannot get the program to work... Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Anybody use something other than Opera?

I have read all about this phone and it seems to meet all of my needs. I just went to three local Cingular stores and they all said that Cingular was not "ordering" any more of the 6682's. They said that it wasn't discontinued, but they couldn't get me the phone. Why is Cingular dropping this phone?

If I buy it online with a contract, will the corporate stores give me customer support, or am I just on my own to deal with the online seller?

Also, Cingular offers a 15% discount to state teachers in Ohio, can I get that discount online or will the local stores be able to give me that after I get the phone and contract online?

Finally, if I can't get this phone does anyone know of a similar alternative to the 6682?

Hey guys,

I have a Nokia N72 and its not one of the phones on this website... Its sort of similar to this model but I was wondering if there was another place dedicated to N72s.

If they are similar enough, I have some issues I'd like to discuss... like how it takes forever to check a text message or... changing the LEDs (SMDs?) for the keypad or... "essential" software?

Does anyone know where to get a silicone case for this phone? I have a Krussell case, but the plastic seems to be cracking. I don't like that at all...

So, I'm still loving my 6682, but being the tech geek that I am, and having had this phone for almost 9 months, I'm looking to upgrade to something else. But I don't want to have wasted the $$ on this 1GB memory card. I noticed that it comes with an extender/expander/attachment thing that changes the shape & allows it to be used in other formats . . . does anyone know what else I could use this in? It looks like an SD, but I'm not sure. Anyone know?

I just updated my Nokia 6682 firmware and now I cannot send emails anymore. I used all of the exact same settings that I used before and now it no longer will let me send from my pop3 account. I can recieve emails just fine, but cannot send. Everything else seems to work great and I don't have the problems anymore with freezing but I have to be able to use my email. PLEASE HELP!

I have Tmobile service and bought this unlocked nokia 6681 from India. I am having some difficulty while send text messages to India from USA. This problem is only for one service provider in India. The service provider customer care suggested me to send SMS to any of his subscriber as follows.

SMS from USA Mobile to RIM (service provider's name) 093XXXXXXXX - It should be sent as [email protected]

I was able to send SMS using above format whit my previous phone Motorola RAZR which i got from T-Mobile. But with this new Nokia Phone I am not able to send any text messages to RIM. I get warning message as "Invalid contact".

Please help!!!!

Contract is up and its time to upgrade. I have liked this phone for a long time, but i also like the Samsung D807. Both phones look nice so it comes down to which is a better phone.

hi. im looking to buy this phone, but im not sure if it has AIM messager or if it is possible to get it on the phone. if anybody could provide me with some information on this id appericiate it cause this is the only thing that is stopping me from buying the phone right now.

I have a song set as my ring-tone now, but none of the other songs are in the ring-tone pick list. I noticed that the song I am using now is in a "Tone" folder... how it got there I have no idea! Do I need to move others to that folder in order to set them as ring-tones? If so, how do I move them... I sure don't remember how I did it in the first place. 😕

My family will be changing to cingular in Sept and I love my mp3 ringtones that I use on my RAZR. Can I use my same ringtones on the 6682?

I was contemplating buying a kingston 2 gig dv rs-mmc. Now I was wondering if anyone else had it and if phone performance changed or something. I'm about to receive mine in the mail. I know late right? But whatever. Thanks for the help.

i always get my cards from digi4me.com because their prices and shipping is nice. but i have yet to see any rs-mmc 2 gig cards yet 🤨

I love this phone. However, I do a ton of text msg every month. I use about 2000 msg a month. I can't seem to find a way to delete all the messages at the same time. I have to delete them one by one. Anyone have an idea if it is possible to delete my entire inbox at the same time?
