Motorola PEBL U6

I only saw one posting about this phone on here. I haven't actually seen the phone for myself as of yet as I just heard about it recently. Nothing but good things, but had a question regarding to the caller ID display. When someone calls in, since the screen is so tight on the front of that phone, how does the text appear or caller ID show who is calling? Also, I heard someone was able to get this phone for a lot cheaper than I have seen it online, I wonder if that is because they were upgrading and their plan allowed the cheaper price to upgrade phones, or what, I am not sure. I just wish to hear from anyeone who can tell me honestly if it is worth the price tag! Thank you.

but something is frustrating. I know it's a prototype, but I can't figure out how to pop it open. Allegedly you push the right silver button, but there's no give.
Anyone else have it who can help?

I have a question I have been trying to figure out for a while now. I am a cingular subscriber and really would like to stay one for the coverage in my area. I'm seeing this phone listed as a quad band phone but in many auctions(or sites) it's only listed with 900/1800/1900 freq. Is there a way to switch the phone between 850/900? Or are these phones earlier versions that aren't capable of 850?

I'm correct as to think to get full benefits of the network I need 850/1900 for cingular right?

Is the PEBL any good? I've wanted this phone for a long time.. So if you have it, your comments would be great.

😳 Um well, i had to pick from the samsung t809 or the peble, Personaly I in looks the T809 takes it to a diffrent level. I dont like the look of the PEBL--but i didnt want to go on looks so i did my homework and i ended up buying the t809 and I have to say this phone is the best phone I have ever had, never been so satisfied! So sorry PEBL I just dont think you are worth 300 dollars! I just came of the moto v330 and i loved that phone, but this one well, its a keeper, i will give my v330 to someone special.
To those who get the Pebl hope you are as satisfied as i am!

My neighbor/friend who is the manager of the local T-Mobile store says that the PEBL will be released on to T-Mobile, so watch out for this phone from them. 🙂

I have a PEBL from T-Mobile. I love the phone, except I can't seem to find the email client. Am I missing something?

I have a Motorola U6 PEBL phone for sale. It is the Hong Kong version and comes in the box with all the accessories: data cable and mpt software, leather strap, handsfree headset, charger, and manuals.

Condition of the phone is that it was used for testing purposes for only two weeks and was babied so it is basically brand new. I cleared the timer, but it really had like no usage. No physical damage.

Granted this is second-hand info, but a friend of mine just got back from the t-mobile store, and they told him it's not coming until FEBRUARY!!!

Does anybody know WHEN this phone will be released?? I don't mean those special retailers or the overpriced one on ebay but to someone that will sell it for a sane price.

Can anyone who has gotten their hands on a pre-release please answer one question for me:
Is it true that the outside display doesn't show caller ID info??
If so, that's a total dealbreaker for me...
I have been excited about this phone for months, and checking the web practically every day to see if it's been released, then someone told me that the display only shows time/battery/reception. So I searched the web, thinking "no way... that's impossible... they wouldn't leave out something that huge!!" and sadly I find no evidence of caller ID info on the outer display.
I can't imagine moto's 'latest greatest' phone would have all these cool features that I will never use, and yet leave out that crucial one!!
Please tell me I'm wrong...

another phone I can't have being stuck wit verizon..That's a cool phone guys. I'm sure it will be a big seller. Looks sharp. O well at least I will get my 1 mm larger razr from verizon two years after you guys..geeez/ with an LG UI to boot.. ☹️
