Nokia 6101 / 6102
Just a few questions to decide whether i want to buy this phone
Can you move MP3 files form your computer to the Nokia 6101 to use as ringtones?
Can you bring this phone into another country, like Greece, and still be able to talk on it?
How long are the lenght of the videos you can record?
How many text messages can be saved in your phone in total. I heard it was 20, and thats ridiculous.
And finally! Is there any way you can tweak its settings, like you can with the RAZR V3? For example, delete ringtones that came with the phone etc

Thanks Out2L8. No I do not have it in my hands yet, but Im waiting for it to come out so i can buy it. Do u know if the 6102 will come out at the same time at the 6101?

All the chatter says the end of Aug for both.

Cingular. End of August huh? I kept hearing begining of August, I dont know if I want to wait that long. It sucks that they adversite for it months in advance and it's still not out.People will lose patience and not as many people are gonna end up buying it.

Even with them screwing around with the release, I think people will buy this handset once they see it. We have such a short memory!
My advise to you is to just be patient. You don't have long until your contract expires and they will not force you to renew, so time is on YOUR side. I just think if you get a different handset and then see the 6101(2) afterward, you'll be bummed. It's a very cool little phone - without the big moto price tag!

This will actually be my first phone (I used to have pay as u go) on a plan, so I want it to be a good one, so thats why I'm a little impatient. But I guess I could wait. It is a nice phone, i really like it right away tahts why I will be bummed if I dont buy it.You have the phone, how is it overall?

Well sure! For a first phone and no existing contract you are free to do what ever you want! Are you still looking at pay-as-u-go plans? Cing and T-mo both have them. But you will get a better deal on the phone with a new contract. T-mo only has 1 yr contracts and will most likely have the phone for the same price as Cing with a 2 yr contract. If I were you I'd go with the one that has the best service coverage in your area.
So----Just hold on few more weeks! It WILL be here! Then you can comparison shop them both for your best deal.
My impressions of the 6101 so far are great! The overall quality and features are fine for me! It really is a slick little phone!
