Nokia 6101 / 6102
ANY1 GET INTERNET WORKING ON UNLOCKED RODGERS?!!
The closest I got with a rep.was that she lead me through all of the proxy setting; bearer settings, etc.. but still no luck (she didnt know the dialup # though)
Can anyone help me who has the unlocked Rodgers Nokia 6101 setup the internet??
Thanks,
Karen
Try that using the 6230 as your device. I think it will work as the software is similar, and it will be the similar edge settings.
Thanks for your help. I did try it but it didn't work at all-it says GPRS connection not available.
When I did it with the rep.and we put in some codes, it then said Not Responding.
Oh well, I guess my best bet is to wait until the 6102 comes out then they'll definetely have the settings.
I did find out about the data plan-i first had it added to my acct. b/c thats what Nokia told me to do & the Cingular guy said it might/might not work AND yeah, no luck. I told the Cingular guy and the Nokia guy that I always used to just pay as I go; why do I need a data plan. And I used to have an unlocked Nokia 6600 before it even came to us in the states and a guy that used to work at the AT&T store setup 3gupload.com on it so that...

Use that thing. Once you get the SMS, enter the code, then set that as the default. It works.
How come mine won't do this?? Hahahaha!! I downloaded the Nokia 6230 codes thru sms and I entered in the code and set it as default but no luck.
What are all of your other codes set at? And connectivity-whats that set at?
Pls help,
Thanks
All I did was pick 6230, Cingluar, GRPS (or MMS), entered my number, hit send, put in the code, set as default.
It actually won't let me view the settings. When it adds Cingluar Express, it's not a "personal setting," it appears as a new option like Rogers.
I don't think my access points, proxy, etc and everything are set correctly.
I'm not sure what to do. In menu I go to settings, then Configuration and under Default Configuration settings I have Cingular Express (from the 6230). Should I activate Default in all applications? What should be the preferred Acess point?
Thanks,
Karen
