Nokia 6101 / 6102

I GOT MY 6102 FROM CINGULAR TODAY IN SOUTH FLORIDA. I CALL LIKE 8 STORE IN THE AREA AN ONE IN WESTON (BROWARD COUNTY) JUST GOT ONE IN RIGHT BEFORE I CALLED. THE SALES PERSON HELD IT FOR ME. THE OHTER STORE THAT I CALLED TOLD ME THAT THEY WILL BE GETTING THEM EARLY NEXT WEEK IN S. FLORIDA ONE PUT ME ON A CALLING LIST. WELL I'M HAPPY FOR NOW.....GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE TRYING TO GET ONE.
REALLY NICE LOOKING PHONE SAME SIZE AS THE MOTORLA V400 AND V551.

why do cingulars current plans suck
they dont have a family plan lower that $69.99 a month...not cool...is there any way to get one lower?

I've seen this at a1wireless.com, the phone is free with T-mo activation. No rebates, not like the one offered at letstalk.com.
Does anyone have experience dealing with a1wireless.com? Is it a credible company?

You can make the right soft key a shortcut to any function, including the camera. So your entire review is worthless.

I have the 6101 unlocked thru Rodgers and I might switch and buy the 6102 b/c I have Cingular. I can't seem to program the internet or anything yet and I might like the look of the 6102 better now.

If you could post actual pictures of the phone or post a link to the actual pictures, that would be great.

Now i know that the phone comes with the availiability to use PTT, but does T-Mobile Allow it? did they take some of the menu options out of the phone. cause i have gone through just about all of the functions to try to find where i can use PTT. the only thing i have found a shortcut to the PTT Group list. if anybody knows help would be much apreciated!

6102 how good is the camera on the phone and how good is the memory on it what is it. my v551 has alot of memory is it anythin like the v551.

How is the 6102 sound quality... i am pissed of with my current motov400 sound quality. I am looking btw 6230 and 6102. I am inclined towards 6102 bcos its a flip phone. sound quality is important to me. if any one just says that its good....i will buy it today.

I had big expectations from 6101. and i was planning to stick to tmobile. but when i purchased the phone, i was dissappointed with the phone that i get compared to the price i paid. it is a typical nokia phone. i didnt like the size of 6101. it is almost the same size with my good old v300. the ear phone volume is too low. i had a hard time to hear my frind while walking in downtown LA streets.
the ringtones are also very dissappointed. i uploaded some mp3 s to use them as ringtones, but very bad results. very cheap sound.

so i got back home and i was browsing to see the prices of 6101 online, as soon as i was 6101 on letstalk.com for free, i felt really bad. but this price for only new activation.

Does anyone know if it's possible to take the software that's on the 6102 and transfer it to the 6101? I have the 6101 and obviously, it displays T-Mobile logos and splash screens and icons. I would prefer having the Cingular version. So does anyone know if this is possible and if so, how do you do it?

It's offical - I just hear this from my district manager. Cingular will not be carrying the 6102 due to QA issues. There are no plans to carry this phone in the future.

Can someone please explain what the media package is and if there are extra monthly charges for this? Probably pretty elementary, but trying to make a deision on the 6102 purchase. Thanks!

I never really understood the difference between the 6101 and the 6102? I know that one of them has bigger buttons, but is that it?

Has anyone gotten it? If so how is it as far as call quality? Strong signal? How much without a contract?

How about the loudness of the handset when talking to someone. On my samsung e317 even at high volume it is still very low, ive read one person have that problem with the 6102. Anyone have any reviews?

How good really is the battery life

I know it has picture caller ID, and 2 full colour displays. I assume since they are both full colour, the picture caller ID works on the outside too? This is crucial.

Yes! It is finally here! I just received an email from nokia, and Cingular has the 6102 available as of today! Finally!

ok so i have a Samsung E315 right now....here is the delemma...i'm looking at the Moto V635, SideKick 2 and Nokia 6101...the thing is there all about $200 on ebay...but the Nokia is lacking so many features...the only reason i really want it is b/c service is not excellent where i live so this phone might give it a boost...however i really want the sidekick b/c i want AIM and web browsing...but it doesnt seem to do to go w/ rf...but then again i want the V635 b/c of ALL THE FEATURES including bluetooth and the transflash slot! i dont know what to do anymore...any opinions

now when you pull up 6102 site from nokia,
it lists cingular as a carrier. also, the 6102 has been removed from the nokia expected soon page. seems like any day now.

Nokia 6101 only 199.99 without a contract for T-Mobile. I would assume Cingular would be right around there.
